Muslim LifeFair Officially Opens: A Family Recreation Alternative for Late 2024

Jakarta – Indonesia’s largest Muslim product bazaar and halal culinary exhibition, Muslim LifeFair (Mufair), themed “Pesta Anak Muslim,” officially opened on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

Muslim LifeFair at the end of this year is the final series in a lineup of events throughout 2024, which began in February at the Jakarta International Expo, continued in Bogor from May 31 to June 2, then Muslim LifeFest (MLF) at ICE BSD Tangerang, Banten, and Bandung,” said Rachmat Sutarnas Marpaung, Chairman of the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community (KMPI), while delivering his opening remarks at the Muslim LifeFair Jakarta event on Friday.

He explained that the Muslim LifeFair exhibition is one of several activities organized by KPMI, aimed at supporting local entrepreneurs in growing their businesses.

“This exhibition is KPMI’s effort to provide space for MSMEs to create and expand markets, as well as to develop the halal market and sharia economy,” stated the KMPI Chairman. He emphasized that KPMI also facilitates market access for MSME products through organizing trade missions domestically and internationally, participating in international exhibitions like the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), among others.

In addition to market access, KPMI has collaborated with several financial institutions, both banking and non-banking, to provide financing opportunities for Indonesian entrepreneurs.

Held over the weekend from December 27 to 29, 2024, in Hall A at JCC, Muslim LifeFair focuses on children, families, and the development of halal MSME products. Mufair aims to be a top family destination for an educational and inspiring year-end outing.

“This year’s Muslim LifeFair covers an exhibition area of 3,500 square meters, featuring 203 booths hosted by 143 brands offering a diverse range of products. These brands come from various cities across the country, including Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Tasikmalaya, and Yogyakarta,” said Deddy Andu, President Director of PT Lima Events Indonesia, during the event.

According to him, Muslim LifeFair can serve as an alternative recreational destination for families at the year’s end, offering a variety of activities and programs suitable for both children and parents.

“There are psychological consultations on child development and health, as well as competitions like cooking classes, English contests, and more,” he added.

Weaving Hope Through Collaborative Efforts

For the December 2024 edition, Muslim LifeFair, with the theme #PestaAnakMuslim, presents a series of engaging programs tailored to the needs of children and families. These include child-focused studies led by motivators Kak Muslim and Kak Agung Tyo; competitions in English speech, storytelling, Quran memorization, and verse continuation; as well as children’s classes such as fun cooking and calligraphy.

Meanwhile, parents can join discussions on children’s health and parenting, featuring experts like Dr. Arifianto, Sp.A(K)—affectionately known as ‘Dokter Apin’—discussing child development; Bunda Elly Risman, a psychologist and child-rearing specialist; and psychologist Nicky Maulani M.Psi, who will talk about improving parent-child relationships through open communication.

Visitors will also have the opportunity for interactive play through traditional games, aiming to reduce screen time and encourage outdoor activity for the younger generation.

Additionally, this edition of Mufair provides a health service van offering free dental check-ups for children under 12, and collaborates with the ZIS (zakat, infak, and sedekah) institution of Indosat to raise donations for Palestine.

All the programs and facilities at Muslim LifeFair can be enjoyed with an entry ticket priced at IDR 30,000 per person (when purchased online) or IDR 35,000 per person (when bought at the venue).

Muslim LifeFair #PestaAnakMuslim is supported by Marco Tour & Travel (Official Travel Partner), Tujuh Kurma (Official Milk Partner), and Deatextile (Official Textile Partner).

About Muslim LifeFair

Muslim LifeFair (Mufair), as a road to Muslim LifeFest (MLF), has been held since 2022 with the spirit of encouraging all Muslim MSMEs to rise from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through these exhibitions and bazaars, participants can build branding and network among halal product entrepreneurs, while visitors can utilize Muslim LifeFair as a family recreational outlet and practice halal economic activities in every aspect.

Throughout 2024, Muslim LifeFair events have taken place in Jakarta (March, theme: #PestaKeluargaMuslim), followed by Bogor, West Java (June, theme: #PestaUMKMMuslim), and then Bandung, West Java (October, theme: #PestaKreatifMuslim). The #PestaAnakMuslim edition will close the 2024 Muslim LifeFair series.
