Hi, Safarfriendly friends! Did you know that Borobudur Temple is the largest temple in the world? This remarkable temple features ten levels arranged symmetrically, constructed from more than two million pieces of volcanic stone.
The volcanic rocks were cut into various sizes and arranged in a stepped manner. The three upper levels are round and circular, while the lower levels are square.

Museum of the Great Ocean Ship
This museum features images and paintings from various regions of Indonesia, chronicling the maritime history of the country. In addition to the Samudra Raksa Ship, it displays various types of ships used by Indonesia’s ancestors and includes an interactive exhibit on the development of shipbuilding.
Mendut Temple
Situated about three kilometers from Borobudur Temple, Mendut Temple is connected to both Borobudur and Pawon Temples. The reliefs and statues at Mendut Temple are regarded as some of the highest quality.
Pawon Temple
Located two kilometers from Borobudur Temple, Pawon Temple is smaller than Mendut Temple. Nestled within a residential area, it often attracts the attention of archaeological researchers.
Punthuk Setumbu
Situated in Dusun Kurahan, Desa Karangrejo, Punthuk Setumbu has become a popular spot for watching the sunrise. Although it requires extra effort to climb the steep route from the parking area, the breathtaking natural panorama during sunrise is well worth it.
